Contrast and Light…

Black and white photos inspire me. So do photos with intense light and dark. I just have always loved to see the basic outlines of objects and people in photos, the simplicity is stunning. This one is called – “Saturday Morning”. No explanation needed, the light says it all!

Weekly googles…(hehe, don’t judge!)

I always think that it would be fun to take a look at the random things googled during the week to reflect back on how random these thoughts in my head really are!  Ridiculous, yes.  Fun, double yes.  Enjoy this weeks “googles”. 1. 20120126-073937.jpg

It’s not often you read a blog where the wife writes an ode to her valiant hubby. Well, it’s time ladies, this is happening! Yesterday, I was listening to NPR and heard about a new and fascinating book written by an Muslim-American author and his experiences growing up in Minnesota. The book is entitled “American Dervish” and profiles a young, Pakistani born boy who lives as the extreme minority in suburban Minnesota prior to 9/11. Adding it to my [...]
